Art in the Park–The 36th Annual Street Art Fair and Common Ground’s largest fundraiser is scheduled to take place in downtown Birmingham along South Old Woodward on September 25 & 26 starting at 10am. This much anticipated event brings together more than 200 fine artisans, offers live entertainment, a children’s area and a silent auction all set up along the fabulous shops and restaurants that line the streets of downtown Birmingham. Champions for Justice –Common Ground’s Legal Services Program along with the Family Law Assistance Project is hosting a Champions for Justice Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 8, 2010. The luncheon will be held at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School located at 2630 Featherstone in Auburn Hills from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Seating is limited and reservations must be made by September 29, 2010. Tickets are $75 for $30 for students. Walk On Common Ground–May 2011 will mark the 3rd annual 5k Walk, which has raised more than $60,000 for Common Ground’s programs and services through the support of pledges and corporate sponsorships. More information on the 2011 Walk On Common Ground event to come.
