Crisis Resource Center
Common Ground’s Crisis Resource Center serves as the gateway for individuals seeking public mental health services in Oakland County. The Center (call 1.800.231.1127) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides:
- Emergency Psychiatric Services—screening and assessment for adults and children by self-referral, walk-in or mobile transport*
- 24-hour Resource and Crisis Helpline—tel ephone access to confidential counseling, crisis intervention, debriefing, information and referrals.*
- Teen 2 Teen Talk Line—allows teens an opportunity to talk anonymously and confidentially to a peer about issues they may be facing.*
- Legal Clinic—free consultations, informed recommendations and referrals are given without direct representation for any legal matter. Clients are seen on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. The clinics are held weekly the following days/times/locations:

Victim Assistance Program—24-hour access to counselors and advocates for victims of crime, domestic and sexual abuse and workplace violence.
- Street Outreach Program—counseling and referral services by counselors and peer mentors, that connect with youths living on the streets. In addition, the REALife Outreach Center offers outpatient counseling including interpersonal and recreational groups, educational assistance, community referrals and crisis intervention for homeless and runaway youths ages 12-22.
- Kevin’s Law Project—works with Oakland County Probate Court to provide psychiatric assessments and community liaison for persons seeking Kevin’s Law (assisted outpatient treatment) orders.*
